Our Manifesto
Healthcare is Broken & Failing Us
For too long, we’ve been at the mercy of a system designed to profit from us getting sick.
The healthcare industry is a three-party system:
The Patient (consumer or you)
The Payer (insurance or employer)
The Provider (hospital or clinician)
The incentives are misaligned because the Provider makes more money when you’re sick, and the Payer loses money if you consume too many Provider services, leading to you (Patient) suffering and inefficiencies at every level. The result:
100 million Americans live with at least one undiagnosed chronic condition.
Nearly 1 million Americans die each year from preventable causes, and 88% of Americans are metabolically unhealthy.
Every 1 in 30 patients gets misdiagnosed, paying the ultimate price.
Meanwhile, $1 trillion is wasted in U.S. healthcare spending every year on unnecessary, redundant services and repeated testing.
Almost 50% of doctors report burnout, burdened by endless administrative tasks that take time away from you. You wait months for a 15-minute visit—most of which the clinician spends looking at a screen. It’s not because they don’t care; the system keeps them tied up in rigid structures, often because it’s how they can bill insurance and get reimbursed for their time & services. They are underpaid and forced to see more patients, resulting in quantity over quality.
